What is dunia credit shield?

Dunia credit shield is an optional insurance program currently being offered by Metlife Alico to all dunia Credit Card Customers. The card member’s outstanding monthly balance is insured against untimely death (due to any cause – sickness or accident) or permanent total disability (due to any cause – sickness or accident).

Key features and benefits

  • 100% of the outstanding balance on the dunia credit card is covered in case of Permanent Total Disability or death of the Primary Cardholder only
  • Affordable Premium at only 0.75% of your monthly outstanding balance (75 fils for every AED 100 outstanding on your credit card)
  • For your convenience, the monthly premium will be automatically billed to your dunia credit card
  • 30 day free look period, where you can cancel the subscription within 30 days from enrollment date

Eligibility

  • If you are the primary Dunia Credit Cardholder between the age of 18 and 64 and you are UAE resident, you can choose to be enrolled to benefit from dunia credit shield.
  • Dunia credit shield is not applicable to co-borrowers and corporate entities.

Credit Shield is offered through MetLife ALICO. Dunia may, from time to time, change the insurer underwriting Credit Shield at the discretion of dunia. Dunia does not offer insurance advice nor does it guarantee claim reimbursements, underwrite, administer or issue insurance policies. Dunia simply facilitates the provision of insurance products to its customers and processes payments of premium from the customer and forwards them to the insurer.
